Ridgewood Crew offers several ways for you to experience our mission: join the team, volunteer or donate. Additionally, the team’s overall performance continues to attract interest from top rowing colleges and universities including Boston College, Boston University, Bucknell, Columbia University, Cornell University, University of Delaware, Drexel, Duke, Fairfield, Fordham, George Mason, Georgetown, Harvard, Holy Cross, Ithaca, Lehigh, Marist, Northeastern, Notre Dame, Purdue, Rutgers, Skidmore, Syracuse, Trinity College, Williams, and others. Ridgewood Crew athletes compete in the Philly Manny Flicks on the Schuylkill River as well as at the highly competitive SRAA Nationals, Stotesbury Cup Regatta, Philadelphia City Championships, Passaic River Northern NJ Championships, Cooper Cup and Garden State Championships. The coaching staff is one of the most experienced in program history. Restoration Roofing is a family-owned company that employs a staff with more than 30. Certified in EPDM and TPO roofing systems. To facilitate that success, Ridgewood Crew continues to make investments in coaching and new equipment. Restoration Roofing provides residential roofing, complete roof tear offs, and commercial flat roofing systems in Southern New Jersey. That success is represented by the widespread individual and team achievements of each of the student-athletes on the roster. In the program’s short history, our youth, board and parent volunteers have moved Ridgewood Crew forward by leaps and bounds. Founded in 2004, the team rows on the Passaic River in northern NJ and competes in the sport’s premier regattas held throughout the Northeast. Ridgewood Crew introduces Ridgewood, NJ high school-aged youth to the traditions, athleticism, sportsmanship, techniques and camaraderie of the sport of rowing. With the team’s last indoor event behind them, spring water practice begins out of the new Bergen County Rowing Center in Lyndhurst, NJ. The annual event draws hundreds of competitors from around the region. Most races are 2,000 meters. Haddon Hammer is an annual indoor rowing competition hosted by Haddon Township High School Rowing Team. For the second year in a row, Ridgewood Crew won the Haddon Hammer Best Boat men Award, and honor bestowed upon the team with the fastest average time in the Boys category. Ridgewood Crew had 55 entries, out of 286 total, second only to Moorestown High School/ Rowing Club.
